Miss Cleo & her Costume

Doing fine but missing a friend since our move. Miss Cleo lived with us for a while. Shes been around forever it seems and is an awesome dog. A mix between a golden retreiver and cocker spaniel, a gorgeous combination.

A great companion and loyal watch dog. She'll sleep at the foot of your bed and make her rounds during the night to check on everyone in the house. She has her own blanket that she will carry around with her as well.

She was well trained. She had some adorable tricks like getting the newspaper. Sometimes, she'd continue getting papers, even if they weren't ours. We later taught her to 'get the phone' while she was living with my mother. She would run around the house in search of the cordless phone and yes, she'd bring it back!

I'm speaking of the training in past tense here, only because she is so old now that shes forgotten all that. Shes so old now, we all think shes forgotten many things. Like who she is, where she is, and her pants.

She loved to play chase and crouch down with a fake growl (she's either forgotten this game or maybe just can't be bothered with it now). She'd howl at the sound of my sister's yodel and she'd put up with just about anything we did to her. Including dress her up in halloween costumes. Last year, she was a spider web. ;) This costume still makes me giggle, she was such a good sport and went for her walk as usual. We love her
