Currently Healthy on Insulin

Currently, our diabetic cat is in good health. He receives 5-6 cc of insulin every 12 hours.

Recently, we relocated from the east coast to the west coast and brought our cat along on the four day journey. He was not a happy kitty. Our insulin supply, although kept in the cooler, seemed to lose effect. Either because the insulin had gotten old or perhaps due to the stress of it all, his diabetic symptoms returned.

Finding a new vet in town was a process of research and asking for referrals. Finally, our own vet recommended Banfield at Petsmart. We were quickly and easily able to get him a new prescription of insulin.
